What are your hours of operation?

For daycare services the hours are from 7:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Are sick children excluded from care?
If your child is sick, has a communicable disease or is in the first twenty-four hours of antibiotic care please do not bring your child to the Daycare. Children with heavy nasal discharge, vomiting and persistent coughing should not be brought to the Daycare.

What if I am late to pick up my child?
If an emergency prevents you from picking up your child at the required time please notify us. Please note that
there is a $15 fee for every fifteen minutes that you are late to pick up your child. If a parent is continuously late
to pick up his or her child, the child may be taken out of the program. After 45 minutes the child will be taken to the nearest precinct.

What forms are required at the time of registration?
   • Immunization Card
   • Care and Consent form- in case CPR has to be administered

What days are you closed?
   • The typical Holiday Schedule is as follows:
   • New Years Day
   • Martin Luther King
   • Presidents Day
   • Memorial Day
   • Independence Day
   • Labor Day
   • Thanksgiving & the day after
   • Christmas Day & the day after
   • New Years Eve we will close at 3:00 p.m.

Are employees screened?
Yes. All employees are required to complete a background/ criminal history check and fingerprinting screening
as required by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Employees must also be cleared in by the NYS Child Abuse Registry

Will meals be served?
Children will be served 2 meals and a snack every day. Meals consist of meat, pasta, vegetables, bread, milk, juice and fruit. If the child has any allergies or is not allowed to eat certain foods, please notify us in writing at the time of enrollment. Pork, Fish and Peanut products are not served.

How will children be disciplined?
We have a Discipline Procedure in place that has been approved by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Bureau of Day Care. This procedure will be available to you in the parent handbook as well as posted throughout the facility.

What are the security procedures?
At the time of enrollment parents will be required to sign release authorizations and choose a four digit pin. Your children will only be released to the persons listed on the release form. Please note that by regulation we are not allowed to release your child to anyone under eighteen years old. Please notify persons that you have listed that they are required to bring identification or your child will not be released to them. Please note that if both parents are listed as being authorized to pick up a child at the time of enrollment, a restraining order will have to be presented by the court should one of the parents decides that the child should not be released to the other parent.

Will the children be taken out for field trips?
Yes. MiniVentures will conduct several field trips through out the year. Parents will be notified in advance of any required fees which include transportation and admission costs and will need to complete the Field Trip Permission Slip.

Are there designated nap times?
While the children do not have to sleep, they must take a ‘rest period’. This gives them time to settle down and the staff to set up for the afternoon activities. However, if a child wants to sleep outside of the designated nap time they will be provided with a comfortable place to sleep outside of the play area. This provision is in place because it is understood that each child operates on a different schedule.

Will the children be required to have a physical?
Yes .At the time of enrollment the child will be required to have a physical and will be required to have one annually.

What are the fees due upon registration?
$100 (Annual Registration Fee)

What payment methods are accepted?
Cash, Money Orders, MasterCard/Visa and HRA/ACD Vouchers accepted.
